From Scheduling to Problem-Solving: Tina’s Role at ESPS

By February 17, 2025No Comments

When choosing a lawn care provider, it’s important to consider not just the company’s reputation but also the people behind the service. Are they experienced, reliable, and friendly? With that in mind, we’d love for you to meet Tina, an essential part of our Calgary and Red Deer team—you’ve likely spoken to her on the phone!

How long have you been with ESPS?

I just celebrated my 15-year anniversary! I started with ESPS (then Green Oasis) in 2010.

What’s your role at ESPS?

I’m the Office Manager for our Calgary and Red Deer locations. I handle bookings, answer client questions, route schedules, and keep things running smoothly.

What are the most important skills for your job?

Flexibility—each day brings new challenges. One moment I’m scheduling services, the next I’m troubleshooting tech issues or helping staff with directions.

Active listening is also key. Understanding what clients and staff need ensures we provide the best service possible.

What’s something you’ve learned at ESPS?

I’ve realized how much I enjoy working with people from all walks of life. Many of our Red Deer clients have been with us for over a decade, and it feels like catching up with old friends when they rebook each spring.

Plus I also enjoy working with our team in Calgary and Red Deer, who I consider friends.

How has working at ESPS helped you grow?

Over the years, I’ve built close relationships with both clients and coworkers. Our team feels like family, and nothing makes me happier than hearing how we’ve helped improve someone’s lawn and property.

How has ESPS changed since you started?

We’re always evolving! In 2020, we added snow removal services, and we continue expanding to become a one-stop home and property service provider.

What’s the most common lawn care mistake?

Not watering enough and cutting grass too short.

Your best lawn care advice?

Lawn care is a partnership—we do our part, but homeowners need to water regularly and keep their grass at least 2.5 inches long.

What’s your favorite hobby?

Spending time with my grandchildren! Warm vacations come in as a close second.

Favorite travel destination?

Aruba—the water was stunning, and the people were wonderful. Nashville was also a great trip!

Beach or mountains?

Definitely the beach!

Tina plays a huge role in keeping ESPS running smoothly, and we’re so grateful to have her on our team. Next time you call, say hello!
